The PRSA Southern Arizona Chapter thanks Lauri Huff, APR and Cynthia Klein for their dedication to the PR professional and outstanding Chapter service over the years. Each have moved out of the area to pursue new opportunities. Much success to both!
PRSA Longtime Member Steve Emerine, APR, died Feb. 13, 2009 at 73 years old due to medical complications. He held several editing posts and was a columnist for the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Citizen. Other career stops included posts at The University of Arizona, the elective office of Pima County assessor 1973-1980, managing the Green Valley News, and doing public relations work and a weekly column for Inside Tucson Business. Steve has been a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Southern Arizona Chapter since November 1991. He was president of the Southern Arizona Chapter in 1999 and received the Public Relations Practitioner of the Year Award in 2004. He was PRSA Member of Quarter.
